After
seeing a television show about doggie daycares, Greg searched the web
to see if they existed in San Jose, and discovered Downtown Dogs; soon
after, he was working with us! He likes dogs because “they are so
loving and sociable,” and believes that working at DD has made him a
better dog owner. Greg enjoys computers, online gaming, reading, and
“coming home to my fur-kids!” |

Ever
since Lelah was little she has had a love of dogs. She is currently
raising an Australian Cattle Dog/Corgi Mix named Minnie. She enjoys
working at Downtown Dogs because she can interact and play with dogs
all day and feels this is one of the best jobs in the world. Her goal
is to continue working with dogs, either in the veterinary field,
training or breeding. Lelah states: "The dogs that I have met here and
grown to love definitely validate the saying 'dogs leave paw prints on
our hearts', and I would never trade the experience of working here for
anything." |

LJ
has worked at Downtown Dogs since late November 2006. LJ currently
attends San Jose State University where he is pursuing a degree in
Conservation and Organismal Biology with an emphasis in Entomology. In
the future LJ hopes to work anywhere that he can collect and study
insects. Despite the passion for his six-legged friends, he also loves
working with our four-legged furry friends. LJ likes all the dogs here,
but he has a soft spot for the small dogs. His ultimate dream is to
live on a 20 acre parcel of land where he can give a million and one
dogs a great loving home! |

Jeremy
grew up in San Jose. He has had a love to animals all of his life.
Though he didn't have a dog of his own, his grandparents and aunt
&
uncle did. He would always play with them whenever he would visit with
them. Jeremy is a student in high school and was excited when he found
out last December that he could start working at Downtown Dogs. Jeremy
states, "Ever since working here, I have been able to experience
working in a great environment. All of the employees are nice and being
able to play with dogs is a lot of fun!" |

Jen's love for dogs
brought her to Downtown Dogs where she has been
working for almost two years. In her spare time, Jen also
attends
college and lives with a feisty terrier mix named Cadillac.

 Bryant F Play Group Leader
|
Bryant has been
interested in dogs since he was a child. He grew up around a
variety of different breeds. He now he lives with two
Chihuahua- Dachshund. He has previously worked grooming dogs as well as
pet sitting and currently enjoys being a play group leader.
Bryant is also currently studying to become an automotive
technician.

 Jennifer R Play Group Leader

Jennifer has been a fan of furry and four legged creatures all her life. Though she grew up with cats, Jennifer has had lots of friends and relatives with dogs. She even spent a year taking care of a neighbors husky. She later found a job at another doggie daycare, satisfying her love of dogs, and eventually found Downtown Dogs. Though currently dogless herself, Jennifer currently lives with a cat and a hermit crab. |
 Krista D Senior Play Group Leader

Krista
grew up around dogs as they were always apart of her family.
She
has a natural ability to work with them and it took off from there. Now
she enjoys all the dogs at Downtown Dogs and is able to come home to
her favorite man Tankers, a shepherd mix.

 Marie Z Play Group Leader

Marie was born in San Jose, CA. She has always had pets growing up and has always loved animals. She has been working with dogs for over three years and absolutely loves it. She currently attends San Jose State University and is working on getting her Bachelors degree in Zoology. Her eventual goal is to get her Masters degree in Marine Biology. |
 Briana B Play Group Leader

Briana has lived in several states but calls the Bay Area her home. Briana and her family have fostered dogs with South Bay Purebred Rescue since she was a young child. She currently is attending college. She lives with a Newfoundland mix, a mix breed dog, as well as a cat. |

 Sarah K Play Group Leader
|
Sarah
grew up in Thailand where dogs were used for hunting and guarding and
not for companionship. Her family had many pets over the
years,
but dogs were her favorite because they make great companions.

 Sarah S Play Group Leader/Training Assistant

Sarah
has trained and owned dogs for the past 14 years and loves every moment
of it. She currently has a Jack Russell Terrier mix and a
Staffordshire / Bull Terrier mix. Sarah enjoys the sport of
K9
Nosework and has been taking classes with her dogs and is in the
instructor program. Her goal is to teach K9 Nosework classes. Sarah's
other hobbies are clicker training and dog photography.

 Ken J Play Group Leader |
Ken
was born and raised as a vegetarian. He has always considered
compassion towards animals to be one of his most important attributes.
He grew up in Grass Valley and had a variety of pets including cats,
dogs, guinea pigs and fish. As a child, Ken earned money
taking
care of other people's plants and animals while they were away. Now
after earning a BS in Health Sciences from UC Santa Cruz, Ken continues
to take care of dogs at Downtown Dogs, and enjoys the relationships he
has formed there with his canine friends.

Airin Y Play Group Leader
|
Airin has been a dog owner since she
was born. She grew up with several dogs and currently has a
Border Collie/ Aussie mix named Cleo and a Terrier mix named Oogie
Boogie. She has also owned several pets such as rabbits, cats, turtle,
and mice. Airin volunteers at Humane Society Silicon Valley for over
two years as a dog and rabbit socializer and photographer. Airin
can't imagine a life without animals and plans to work with them for
the rest of her life. |

 Amber Gay Play Group Leader
|
As
an army child, Amber was raised everywhere from Indiana to New Orleans
but she has always had a dog or been in constant contact with dogs.
Growing up Amber always wanted to be a veterinarian. She got her first
taste of training with her family dog, Bandit. She has
attended
Loyla New Orleans for her BS in biology and looks forward to a future
working with a variety of animals. Of course, with a big dog
by
her side.
