Board & Train and Daycare & Train Programs

Does Rover need to learn his basic commands? Or, does he need tutoring in a specific subject? If so, have him attend Downtown Dogs University, our unique daycare/board and train programs. Our programs are designed to help asist busy owners get started on the right foot. At DDU, we make learning fun. Your dog will get to frolic with friends, burn some energy, and of course attend class. Our trainers will work individually with your dog to learn and practice new skills. At the end of each course, parent/teacher conferences are scheduled to review all that was learned, and discuss the student’s progress. Homework is given to continue the learning at home.

Please Note - Owner's must be active participants in order to achieve success with this program!

Daycare & Train

Dogs will spend the day at daycare and get pulled off the floor for private training sessions. Owners will get progress reports stating how they did during training and owners will get homework. There will be a meeting with the trainer at the end of the sessions to discuss progress made. For all courses, dogs must be dropped off before 9 am and picked up after 5 pm.

Class Options

Basics 101 – 6 sessions
This program is designed for a beginner student with little to no previous training. We will teach your dog: sit, down, stay, come, attention, wait- to go through doors and leave it.

Stop Jumping– 3 sessions
This program is designed for dogs who love to jump up on people. This program includes three training days, nightly homework and one-30 minute owner meeting at end of week.

Loose Leash Walking - length varies (3-6 sessions)
This program is designed for dogs who pull on leash. The program includes an orientation with trainer prior to the start of training, nightly homework and a 30 minute review sessions with owner. Requires pre-evaluation to determine number of training sessions and price.

Reliable Recall – 3 sessions
This program is designed for dogs that have difficulty "coming" to their owners when called. This program includes three training days, nightly homework and one-30 minute owner meeting at end of week.

Board & Train

Want to give your dog some extra training while you are away? Then this program is for you. You dog will spend the days at DD playing with friends and get pulled off the floor for private training sessions. At the end of his stay, you will get a report card and homework to continue the learning at home. There will be a meeting with the trainer before and at the end of the sessions to discuss progress made.
